Terms and Conditions

1. This extended 5-year projector warranty promotion is run by Hitachi Europe Ltd. By taking part in the promotion participants agree to comply with the registration procedure and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (which may be varied or amended at any time without notice).

2. The extended warranty is only available to education establishments who have purchased an eligible Hitachi projector from Hitachi’s authorised projector dealers between 1st July and 3rd September 2010. The following Hitachi projector models are eligible for the promotion: ED-X24Z, ED-X40Z, ED-X42Z, ED-X45N, ED-X52, ED-D10N, ED-D11N, ED-AW100N, ED-AW110N, ED-A101, ED-A111, CP-DW10N.

3. The extended warranty covers the projector only (excludes lamp). The lamp is covered for 3 years or the duration of its stated lifetime (whichever applies first): ED-X24Z, ED-X40Z, ED-X42Z, ED-X45N – 6000 hours, ED-X52, ED-D10N, ED-D11N, ED-AW100N, ED-AW110N, ED-A101, ED-A111, CP-DW10N – 4000 hours. The lamp warranty will expire at the end of the lamp lifetime. LCD panel usage is restricted to 5000 hours.

4. The free replacement lamp offer is available only for the ED-X24Z, ED-X40Z, ED-X42Z, ED-X45N and ED-X52. A free replacement lamp can be claimed once the original lamp fails after the standard 3-year lamp warranty period, or after 6000 hours of usage. Lamp failure within the standard 3-year warranty period will be processed as per the standard warranty rules. The warranty on the replacement lamp is restricted to 6 months from date of issue. To claim a free replacement lamp, please send a copy of the original invoice showing date of purchase, completed lamp voucher (downloadable from www.hitachidigitalmedia.com/extendedwarranty) plus the failed lamp to DMG Free Replacement Lamp Offer, Digital Media Group, Hitachi Europe Ltd., Whitebrook Park Lower Cookham Road, Maidenhead SL6 8YA.

5. The registration form must be completed in full to qualify for this promotion. A photocopy or duplicate of the original receipt must be supplied (original receipts cannot be returned).

6. Incomplete registration forms will be returned.

7. 8. The deadline for submitting registrations for this promotion is 17th September 2010.

11. The warranty policy will be issued in the name of the purchaser and is non-transferable.

12. Accessories and additional products purchased with the eligible promotional product are not covered by this warranty.

13. Hitachi cannot accept any responsibility for any applications that are incomplete, lost, delayed or mislaid.

14. No cash alternative can be offered.

15. Offer available to educational establishments in UK mainland, Northern Ireland & Eire only. Dependent Islands or areas where there is no road link to the mainland are excluded from this offer.

16. Hitachi reserves the right to alter, amend or suspend the promotion in whole or in part at any time without notice.

17. In the event of any dispute regarding the promotion the decision of Hitachi shall be final.

18. These terms and conditions are subject to English law and participants agree to be bound by the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
